Individual Visitors

~ to the Klimt Center
Individual visitors to the center can acquire in-depth knowledge through wall texts and audio guides. Not to be missed is the Klimt film "Longing to be there" shown at the Klimt Cinema. The book accompanying the exhibition is available at the Klimt Shop.
Children aged 6-14 will be given a free audio guide upon their arrival at the Klimt Center, informing them about Gertrude Flöge’s adventures during her summer holidays with Uncle Gustav.

The main area of the Klimt Artist Trail in Seewalchen and Kammer-Schörfling can be explored with the mentioned audio guide.

~ Free guided tours at the Klimt Center
From June to October, the Klimt Center offers free guided tours. Every Sunday from 10.30 am, a local Klimt expert will guide visitors through the exhibition.Langauge: German

~ Guided tours “Klimt on Sunday” – the comprehensive tour on land and on the lake
From July to September, individual visitors are able to explore Gustav Klimt’s traces on land and on the lake during a 3-hour tour held on Sundays from 1.30 pm. Following an introduction at the Klimt Center, Klimt’s places of activity are uncovered during a boat trip in the north of the Attersee, while a subsequent walk along the Klimt Artist Trail affords further insights into the places and motifs of Klimt’s oeuvre. ~ Thursdays with Klimt – free guided tours for schools
With this art mediation program, the non-profit private foundation affords pupils free admission to the Klimt Center. Teachers are invited to provide insights into the theme of “Klimt & the Attersee” as part of their lessons and to delve deeper into the subject during a visit to the Klimt Center.

Tailor-made guided tours with local Klimt guides afford interesting insights into the life and oeuvre of Gustav Klimt on the Attersee and the era of "Vienna 1900", allowing you to see and experience Klimt’s main places of activity and motifs on site or from aboard a boat. The Klimt Center’s visitor service is happy to answer your questions and devise the perfect tour for you.
